Compleo

Terms of Service

Last updated September 21, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and L&J LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, which operates Compleo at compleo.ai. Using the site or the app means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Compleo.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a contract to use Compleo. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for anything done through your account, so keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Compleo is for your own personal job search. It is not licensed for use as a recruiting tool, a sales prospecting tool, or a service you operate on behalf of other people.

2. What Compleo does

You give us your resume and what you are looking for. We find companies hiring for roles that fit, identify the person who would hire you, verify their work email, and draft an introduction. You review every email and send it yourself.

3. What it costs

You pay per contact we deliver, at $3.98 each. A full sprint is 50 contacts for $199, and that is the most you can be charged. The quote is a forecast of what your market holds; if we deliver 40, you pay for 40 and the rest is refunded. It is paid once, it is not a subscription, and it does not renew. Every sprint includes 30 days of daily scanning.

You see the exact count and the exact price before you enter payment details, and both appear on your Stripe receipt. We do not sell a sprint below 25 contacts — below that there is not enough to be worth your money, and we will tell you to widen your search instead.

The free tier gives you your market statistics, the names of companies hiring, and one complete contact. It stays free.

Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own terms. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to collect.

4. Refunds

You pay per contact we actually deliver. Anything we quote and cannot find is refunded. The quote you see is a forecast: it is what your search suggests we can produce, worked out before we look anyone up. We deliberately quote below what we expect, so in most cases we deliver the full number. Where we do not, you are refunded $3.98 for every contact short, without asking.

Beyond that: if a contact we sold you turns out to be undeliverable or the person has left the company, tell us and we refund that contact at $3.98, or replace it, whichever you prefer. There is no time limit and we will not ask you to prove it.

We do not refund on the basis of how many people replied. We have no way to see your inbox — Compleo can send through your Gmail but never reads it — so we will not make a promise we cannot verify, and you should not trust anyone who does.

5. What we do not promise

We do not promise you a job, an interview, or a reply. We promise accurate targeting, verified addresses, and drafts worth sending. Hiring decisions are made by other people for reasons neither of us controls.

We also do not guarantee that every contact is correct. Business contact data goes stale — people change jobs. We verify each address before showing it to you and we tell you when we are unsure, but some will still be wrong.

We aim to keep Compleo available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and parts of it depend on outside providers whose availability is not ours to control.

6. Availability of contacts

How many contacts we can find depends on your market. A senior role in one metro area may genuinely have only a handful of openings in a given week — we will show you that number honestly rather than padding the list. If we cannot deliver the contacts you paid for, we refund the difference.

7. Your emails are yours

Every email is sent from your own account, under your own name. You review each one before it goes. That makes you the sender, and it makes you responsible for what it says and who it goes to.

You agree not to use Compleo to:

That fourth one is not boilerplate. The data is licensed to us for making introductions, and reselling it breaks our agreements with our providers and our promises to the people in it.

You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to your own messages, including anti-spam rules such as the US CAN-SPAM Act. Because you are the sender, we cannot do that for you.

8. Sending limits

We cap outreach at 15–20 emails a day. This is not adjustable. It protects your email account’s reputation, which matters more to you than volume does — losing your personal mailbox during a job search would be a far worse outcome than a slow week.

9. Your account and ending this agreement

You can delete your account at any time, and everything goes with it, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can also disconnect your mailbox at any time without deleting your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 7, that is using Compleo for something other than a personal job search, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund any contacts you paid for and did not receive.

10. Intellectual property

The site, the software and the Compleo name and mark belong to us. Nothing here transfers them to you.

What you supply stays yours: your resume, your edits and the emails you send are your content. You give us permission to process them only so far as is needed to run the service for you — to read your resume, generate drafts, and deliver the messages you approve. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use them to train models.

11. Liability

Compleo is provided as-is and, to the extent the law allows, without warranties of any kind. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost opportunities, lost income, lost data, or how anyone responds to an email you chose to send.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect rather than relying on you to notice, and the date at the top will change. If you keep using Compleo afterwards, that is acceptance. If you do not agree, close your account and we will refund anything you paid for and have not received.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts of Michigan have jurisdiction over any dispute, though nothing stops a consumer from bringing a claim in their own country where the law gives them that right.

Please email us first. Most problems are faster to fix than to argue about, and we would rather fix them.

14. The rest

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. You may not transfer your account to someone else; we may transfer this agreement if the business is sold, on the terms in the Privacy Policy.
